I decided on Sunday that I would not let the bitter temps keep me from a commitment I had made to myself to practice shooting photos. And my sweet son agreed to join me. So we bundled up and set out.
What we eat and how we exercise are obviously critical to our health. But when I look at my whole person, there are so many other components to being physically, mentally, and emotionally healthy.
I recently set down to write some life goals and some tangible action steps. It goes without saying that my first priority is my role as a wife and mom. But down the list, I reminded myself of the extra things I enjoy and want to get good at. The things that are mine and mine alone. Things that I can set goals for and work to achieve.
Two of those things are photography and blogging.
It’s easy to get busy in the day-to-day. But taking time to carve out a hobby or two is so rewarding. For me… this weekend… it blessed me with a sweet time walking in a winter wonderland with my son and new photos to cherish.
