Grocery Shopping for Weight Watchers ~> Weigh-In Wednesday

Grocery Shopping on #WeightWatchers via JustForClicksBlog.com

Two posts on Weight Watchers in one week?  Well, since I'm just getting back on WW ~ it's ON MY BRAIN.... It's been a couple years since I've been on Weight Watchers.  So it's been a bit of a learning curve to get back on track.  Some things I remember from last time.  Some things are new discoveries. Regardless of WW, my goal is to always have my family and I eat as Clean as possible.  That being said, there are a few "less than clean" products I will admit to relying on. It's a balance. … [Read more...]

Weight Watchers | Getting Back on Track

Weight Watchers - JustForClicksBlog.com

This past weekend was the start of Weight Watchers for me.  Again.  In 2011-2012, I lost a LOTTA weight using Weight Watchers and the Couch-to-the-5K running program.  Weight Watchers works.  Combined with a high energy sport like running?  It is amazing. Back then, I stopped using WW when my running got up to 25 miles a week.  At that point, I was in great shape and ate to fuel.  But when my back went out and the running stopped, my eating quickly returned to old ugly ways.  And … [Read more...]

Well....  HELLO there!  It's been a while.  Not much.  How 'bout you?  (name that song - ha!) Have you ever tasted something that became an instant favorite?  You knew you HAD to get the recipe and HOPED you could make it just as good?  That's what happened to me with this soup.  My friend, Heather, brought this to a party and EVERYONE raved about the deliciousness.  Thankfully, Heather shared the recipe..... If you're looking for a cure for this never-ending, unbearable winter...  this is … [Read more...]

Weigh-In Wednesday | It’s cold. The end.

So it's Wednesday and around here that means it's time to weigh~in.  Whoever came up with that idea?  Ugh.  Well, here's my weigh-in:  I've been celebrating my birthday.  A lot.  And while, yes technically a birthday is one day a year....  this year I've seen it as worthy of at least a week or two.  And when I'm done celebrating, I will need to detox.  Again. Here's the thing:  THE WEATHER.  Oh my head wants to explode thinking about it.  I've tried really hard not to talk about it, not … [Read more...]

I always LOVE to hear what my friends' favorite finds are....  A great deal on clothing, a new restaurant discovery, favorite products, what they carry in their handbags.  In my opinion, word of mouth recommendations are the best!  So I'll make you a deal....  I'll share some of my recent favorites and then you chime in with yours!  Deal? First up:  Emily Ley  Simplified Planner {and other organizational products}. This is a new-to-me find and I actually JUST ordered and am waiting on … [Read more...]

Quick {Clean Eating} Quinoa Lunch

Quinoa Salad

Lunch may be the hardest meal for me in terms of eating healthy.  The first roadblock is busyness.  If I'm at home, making a mess in the kitchen never sounds fun (there's always enough of those).  And if I'm out, healthy eating requires planning! The second roadblock with lunches is....  WHAT TO EAT. Breakfast is super easy.  Overnight Oats are always a great go-to.  I love the fact you can make Quinoa Breakfast Bake once and eat it all week.  And of course, Smoothies or frozen Waffles are … [Read more...]

SO, last check in was on 1/1 when I had just kicked off my ten day detox via The Daniel Plan.  Those ten days went surprisingly well.  Especially since we were hit with some awful weather.  I was able to give up all that was included....  except caffeine.  The minute the detox was over I made this and these to satisfy the sweet tooth in me that will never go away. I lost three pounds the first full week of detox/eating clean.  And another pound since.  But I would say the biggest change has … [Read more...]

***UPDATE:  Thanks to Pinterest, this post is bringing a whole lotta new visitors here everyday!  If you're new, I'd love to connect...  Find me on FaceBook, Twitter, and Pinterest.  And we'd LOVE to have you join our Weigh-In Wednesday FaceBook Group where we focus on accountability and encouragement...  and FUN. About two years ago, I was super focused and devoted to eating well.  I was also running 25 miles a week.  The combination of those two things had me at a peak level of fitness. … [Read more...]

Banana “Ice Cream”

With the New Year came a renewed commitment to healthy eating.  Clean Eating.  Whole Real Foods.  I started on New Year's Eve.  I know, right?  I launched into The Daniel Plan 10 Day Detox.  Essentially, no dairy, sugar, wheat/gluten, alcohol, caffeine, processed or fast foods, etc. Having been in such a cycle or poor eating in November and December it wasn't so hard.  My energy was low.  And I could feel my body calling out for a fresh start. The detox went great and I didn't really miss … [Read more...]

Turkey Chili

The Daniel Plan Turkey Chili Recipe

As I type this we are on day 5 of what's become a trending hashtag, #snowpacalypse.  We are on day 20 of Christmas Break (extended due to school closings).  We are grateful because after 4 days without tv, our satellite dish somehow got clear enough that it's back on.  Well, we are grateful for a LOT...  not the least of which is that we all stayed safe and warm in what was a record setting blast of arctic air and a pounding of more than a foot of snow.  But to keep things real, also VERY … [Read more...]
