Two posts on Weight Watchers in one week?  Well, since I'm just getting back on WW ~ it's ON MY BRAIN.... This past weekend was the start of Weight Watchers for me.  Again.  In 2011-2012, I lost a LOTTA weight using Weight Watchers and the Couch-to-the-5K running program.  Weight Watchers works.  Combined with a high energy sport like running?  It is amazing. There are seasons where I sleep well, wake early to coffee and Quiet Time, lovingly send my kids off to school, exercise, have a fully stocked kitchen ready to prepare the healthy dishes I've planned for the week, have bible study done, have laundry done and put away, the house clean and organized, phone calls returned, bills paid....  you name it and I'm on it.  I really like this type of season. Well Friends, I'm happy to report......  I'm baaaacccckkkkk!  As I write this I just got back from the Community Center I joined with a couple friends.  My GirlFriend took me around and got me set up on  an eliptical first...  Then to the desk to get someone to set me up on the weight machines.  SOOO excited! Back to the Basics | Weigh-In Wednesday


In her book, Bread & Wine, Shauna Niequist talks about the "back and forth rhythm of feasting and fasting."  She gives examples of seasons of feasting.... summers, holidays ~~ and then the fasting that comes afterward.  And while she believes in biblical fasting, it is not what she's referring to.  She says it's more that after a season of feasting, she strives for a season of healthier, cleaner, leaner eating.
